THE PEP CONTINUES SOWING PEACE IN STUDENTS IN ATLANTICO

El pasado 23 de junio de 2021, se celebró una reunión convocada por la Secretaría de Educación del Atlántico y voluntarios del PEP – TPRF, con el fin de tomar las acciones necesarias para que el PEP trascienda los 10 talleres y permee todos los procesos educativos de una manera transversal a todas las áreas y a todos los sectores de la comunidad educativa: profesores, directores de colegios públicos, estudiantes y padres de familia.

El PEP se ha venido realizando desde 2018 y a finales de 2021 se estima que sus enseñanzas han beneficiado a más de 7.000 personas del departamento.

Del 24 de septiembre al 5 noviembre de 2021, se realizó un ciclo de talleres virtuales con 50 profesores. Muchos de ellos solicitaron que el énfasis estuviera en el trabajo con material escrito, ya que no tienen conexión a internet. Como apoyo a este programa se entregaron 50 ejemplares del libro “Cuando el desierto florece” en donación para los participantes.

Para 2022, se espera invitar nuevos profesores e instituciones a conocer el programa y capacitar nuevos facilitadores. También se espera retomar los entrenamientos presenciales.

From September 24 to November 5, 2021, a cycle of virtual workshops was held with 50 teachers. Many of them requested that the emphasis be on working with written material, since most of them they do not have an internet connection. In support of this request, printed material and 50 copies of the book “When the desert blooms” were donated to the participants.

By 2022, it is expected to invite new professors and institutions to learn about the program and train new facilitators. It is also expected to resume face-to-face training.
