THE PEP CONTINUES IN CUBA, AGAINST ALL ODDS

Antes de la pandemia, algunos voluntarios de Colombia viajaban a la Isla para hacer los talleres del PEP. Ya en la pandemia, se hicieron muchos ensayos con diferentes métodos para hacer llegar los videos. Se concluyó que el único medio virtual que funciona para ellos es el WhatsApp.

En este momento, un grupo de siete personas de Matanzas y Varadero reciben videos muy cortos y el material escrito por este medio. Los asistentes a los talleres reciben semanalmente las lecturas de cada taller del PEP 1 y del PEP Collection y son invitados a compartir sus reflexiones.

También se les hizo llegar 6 libros “Escúchate” y 6 libros “Cuando el desierto florece”

Before the pandemic, some volunteers from Colombia used to travel to the island to present the PEP workshops. Already in the pandemic, many trials were done with different methods to get the videos out. It was concluded that the only virtual medium that works for them is WhatsApp.

Right now, a group of seven people from Matanzas and Varadero are receiving very short videos and written material through this medium. Workshop attendees receive weekly readings both from PEP 1 and PEP Collection workshops and are invited to share their reflections.

They were also sent 6 books "Listen to yourself" and 6 books "When the desert blooms"
