THE PEP FOR DEMOBILIZED COMBATANTS FROM ANTIOQUIA IN PROCESS OF RESOCIALIZATION

El 13 de noviembre tuvo lugar la clausura de un PEP presencial para desmovilizados. Según la apreciación de los voluntarios que acompañaron este proceso, el programa tuvo un gran impacto en algunos participantes (reflejada en sus testimonios). Ellos expresaron su deseo de que estos talleres se difundan a muchas más personas en nuestra sociedad.
Una de las historias más dramáticas y poderosas del impacto del PEP en las vidas de los asistentes fue la de la señora Angela Patricia Correa, quien expresó: “Para mí es un descanso espiritual la paz. Es de dioses encontrarla”. Después de haber participado junto con familiares en uno de los grupos violentos participantes en el conflicto armado, la familia se había distanciado durante muchos años. En estos momentos, se encuentran en proceso de resocialización.

On November 13, the closure of a face-to-face PEP for demobilized combatants took place. According to the appreciation of the volunteers who accompanied this process, the program had a great impact on some participants (reflected in their testimonies). They expressed their wish that these workshops spread to many more people in our society.
One of the most dramatic and powerful stories of the impact of the PEP in the lives of the attendees was that of Mrs. Angela Patricia Correa, who expressed: “For me, peace is a spiritual rest. It is of gods to find it”. After having participated together with relatives in one of the violent groups participating in the armed conflict, her family had been estranged for many years. At the moment, they are in the process of resocialization.
