EN EL HUILA, CIENTOS DE EDUCADORES SE INTERESAN EN PRESENTAR EL PEP A SUS ESTUDIANTES

HUNDREDS OF EDUCATORS HAVE SHOWN A GREAT INTEREST IN INTRODUCING THE PEP PROGRAM TO THEIR STUDENTS IN SCHOOLS IN THE HUILA DEPARTMENT.

El Secretario de Educación del Departamento del Huila firmó un documento de convocatoria a todas las Instituciones Educativas del Departamento, mediante el cual invita a los docentes a asistir a los 10 talleres del Programa de Educación para la Paz (PEP), para que ellos conozcan completamente los temas, sientan la necesidad de paz y los compartan en sus comunidades no solo con sus alumnos, sino también con los padres de familia.

En la convocatoria, se aclara ampliamente que la asistencia es voluntaria. Aun así, la sorpresa es que el número de asistentes crece en cada sesión. El programa inició con 200 asistentes ¡y ya van 848 interesados!

En 2021, 180 profesores en el Huila participaron de una sesión de empoderamiento para facilitar el PEP en sus instituciones educativas. A la fecha, ya varios de estos profesores han solicitado su licencia de facilitadores y están iniciando nuevos los talleres.

Acompañando los talleres del PEP se está proponiendo también la lectura del libro “Cuando El Desierto Florece” de Prem Rawat. A comienzos de este mes, se donaron 177 libros, uno por institución educativa.

He aquí un comentario de una de las voluntarias del PEP en Huila:

"Esta pandemia ha traído cosas muy buenas en medio del caos. La claridad, entendimiento y comprensión han hecho que se forme un gran equipo de voluntarios que clamamos de corazón una paz duradera en Colombia y el mundo.

Los seres humanos están sedientos de paz y este programa de paz interior lo reciben con gran agradecimiento y anhelan que sea conocido en todas las comunidades e instituciones.

Es una forma práctica, sencilla y sin costo alguno que nos recuerda que “La Paz es Posible"

The Secretary of Education of Huila signed a summon inviting the teachers of all the Educational Institutions of the Department, to attend the Peace Education Program (PEP), so that they were familiar with its contents and share with their communities that the need for peace is not only for their students but for the parents as well.

In 2021, 180 teachers in Huila participated in an empowerment session to facilitate the PEP in their educational institutions. To date, several of these teachers have already applied for their facilitator license and are starting new workshops.

As a complement to the workshops the reading of the book "When The Desert Blooms" by Prem Rawat is also being proposed. At the beginning of this month, 177 books were donated, one for each of the educational institutions.

A volunteer talks about her experience in the Department of Huila:

"In the mist of the chaos due to the pandemic, some good things have surged: Clarity, understanding and comprehension have shaped a great team of volunteers who cry out for a lasting peace in Colombia and in the world.

Human beings are thirsty for peace and this program of inner peace has being received with great gratitude and hoping that more communities and institutions could reach this valuable program.

It is a practical, simple and cost-free way to remind us that "Peace is Possible"
