LA I. E. STO. TOMÁS DE AQUINO – MUNICIPIO DE GUARNE - PRESENTA LOS TALLERES DEL PEP DESDE PREESCOLAR HASTA SECUNDARIA

La I.E Sto. Tomás de Aquino es una institución que ha valorado enormemente el Programa de Educación para la Paz, presentando el programa en diferentes espacios, audiencias y ocasiones.

El 27 de febrero, 25 docentes de primaria tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir a un taller presencial. El 28 del mismo mes, en la vereda La Clara del municipio de Guarne, se presentó de manera presencial la Introducción al PEP a 80 niños de preescolar a quinto grado de primaria. Esta sede rural practica un método pedagógico llamado “Escuela nueva”, donde interactúan niños de diversas edades en un mismo grupo y bajo el lema de ”Aprender haciendo”

Para estas edades, el Programa se realiza a través de fábulas cortas de cada uno de los temas del PEP, que resultan muy motivantes para los niños. Este primer encuentro se realizó con apoyo de voluntarios de la TPRF y, a partir de ahí, los docentes se encargaron de desarrollar ellos mismos los demás temas del PEP.

El 1 de marzo, se presentó otro taller presencial de Introducción al PEP en la vereda Montañez del municipio de Guarne, con 23 niños de preescolar a quinto grado primaria. Tomando como símbolo la vida de una semilla y su potencial, se realizaron actividades interactivas, asimilando su proceso a la vida de cada uno y con el tema de “Ser consciente”.

THE I. E. STO. TOMÁS DE AQUINO – GUARNE MUNICIPALITY – PRESENTS THE PYP WORKSHOPS FROM PRESCHOOL TO SECONDARY

Sto. Tomás de Aquino School is an institution that highly values the Peace Education Program, presenting the program in various spaces, audiences, and occasions.

On February 27, 25 elementary school teachers had the opportunity to attend an in-person workshop. On the 28th of the same month, in La Clara village of Guarne municipality, the Introduction to PEP was presented in person to 80 preschool to fifth-grade students. This rural branch follows a pedagogical method called "New School," where children of various ages interact in the same group under the motto of "Learning by Doing."

For these age groups, the program is conducted through short fables on each PEP theme, which are very motivating for the children. This initial meeting was supported by volunteers from TPRF, and from there, the teachers took charge of developing the remaining PEP topics themselves.

On March 1, another in-person Introduction to PEP workshop was held in the Montañez village in Guarne municipality, with 23 preschool to fifth-grade students. Using the life of a seed and its potential as a symbol, interactive activities were conducted, assimilating its process to each individual's life with the theme of "Being Conscious."
